Zignifica is a tool to interpret evidence-based medicine. It is intended to help healthcare professionals to base their treatments on trustworthy evidence.

The clinical usefulness of findings from medial science presented in scientific medical journals depends on the quality of the study, and thereby by both the method and design of the study and of the findings. Presented results in medical journals are impossible to interpret and understand for untrained persons, and it is difficult and time consuming for physicians and other healthcare professionals to distinguish clinical useful and not-useful information in the plethora of medical information. Zignifica provides a solution to this for both healthcare professionals and for persons with no medical education.

Zignifica collects information from sources such as PubMed, Europe PubMed Central, ClinicalTrials.gov, from medical scientific papers, and other relevant information channels for medical research. Based on this information Zignifica analyzes the clinical usefulness of the individual study based both on the results, and the method and design of the study used to get the results. The value of the results is analyzed using complex algorithms for clinical meaningful findings, and not just for statistical significance. These findings are compared with the method and design of the study, also using complex algorithms to analyze for clinical meaningfulness and evaluate if the findings are relevant at the point of care in healthcare.

Zignifica presents its finding for the individual clinical trial both in numeric and text format, easy to understand for both medical and non-medical trained persons. This makes it easy to keep up with the latest clinical relevant medical research, and easy to find relevant information when needed. Zignifica allows search criteria both for the individual paper or author, but also disease categories, keywords and even ICD-10 codes. Papers can be saved and tagged for easy retrieval.
